I believe it's a matter of compatibility, just like in ANY type of relationship, gay, straight, trangendered, even animals. I mean you don't see a chihuahua going around trying to get with a great dane do you? No..they're not compatible. Now SOME straight people are gonna say homosexuality isn't compatible, period. But, for glbt people it's about falling in love. It's about those traits in another person (for homosexuals they just happen to be the same sex), that most match your own and that you desire in someone else.
I say compatibility because not every gay man wants every man on the planet just because he has a penis, just like not every lesbian wants every girl on the planet simply because she has boobs and a vagina. It's about "meshing". Finding that "yin and yang" with someone. And it's also all very personal. What one person may find attractive in someone is not what someone else may find attractive.
Hope I answered your question.

They see someone they can love. For everyone who isn't bisexual, gender matters when choosing a partner. For example. A straight woman might have a female best friend, but she wouldn't consider dating her no matter what a great person this friend is. This "gender barrier" affects different people in different ways. Straight people can't form love relationships with people of the same sex, while gays can't form love relationships with the opposite sex.

I'm a fem lesbian, and i understand what your trying to ask.We are attracted to the same sex but i also think understanding each other has a big role in it.Who understands how a woman feels and what they need more than another woman herself?Same goes with gay men.Just one example out of many.

You're asking for an answer, but you do not want to hear a certain type of answer.
Attraction is attraction and love is love, we can't explain it anymore than you can. We just feel it... It just happens.
Ever heard of the statement, "Love happens."?

It is simply a matter of falling in love with a person. I found someone I enjoy doing things with and have stayed with him. We have a nice house together and enjoy buying antiques to furnish it. My co-workers except my life style and none of them have ever asked me what I see in my lover.

I don't think it's the same as normal people. God would not bless their relationship the same way. It's a mockery of God, how could He? I think lust fuels most of it...also explaining why gay males have such a fast turn around with partners.

Gays men see theyre selfs and want to "do" themselfs, they are atracted to the same sex and sometimes think that men understand them better then women do. As for women, they like women because of the same reason but ALSO because men are cheaters, more understanding, and more reliable. It is harder to live with a man than a woman. Being gay and les is just wrong, god will send them all to hell.

Attraction to another person can be based on many things - internal & external beauty, personality, style, emotional connection, etc.
