I'm working with a local school and we are putting on a show. I need to find clothes for them to wear. It's all based in the 1930's. I'm looking for a thief costume. Also Women's clothing and Men's clothing. Poor and Rich. IF you have any ideas...... please help.

Most people in the 30's dressed more formally than we do today. Rich or poor, men generally always wore hats, suits, jackets and ties; women also wore hats and always dresses or skirts. Laborers wore overalls. Casual or sports clothes didn't quite set in yet, unless you were of the leisure or wealthy class. Here is a good link for more info:

I was not born in the '30's but I guest they wore clothes.. ups. Sorry, I don't have any idea.
