Its not very important at our home, but we do give each other a card. Maybe a small gift. To us, it's just another day...but it is a day you get to make special requests. *wink wink nudge nudge*

I make everyone's birthday important. I want those I care about to feel even more special on their special day!
My spouse has never forgotten my birthday since we are only 2 days apart.
The best way to remember a spouses birthday is to forget it once!

I'm involved in a long distance relationship (me:US/her:NZ). Her birthday is Dec 20th.There's no way I can go there to celebrate it with her....and she's really bumming. I will send her a gift through the mail, and maybe some flowers for her special day, plus the all important phone call:) When we finally end up together, I'll never forget her b-day!! We'll have to make up for all the days that we missed!!

Celebrating the birthday of someone you love is pretty important. It doesn't mean you have to spend a lot of money and be extravigant, but it means you should cherish the day that person was born because they are such an important part of your life, and your life would be so different without them.

A birthday is a time to celebrate birth itself, the joy of life. It is also an occasion to rethink your life: How great is the disparity between what I have accomplished and what I can accomplish? Am I spending my time properly or am I involved in things that distract me from my higher calling? How can I strengthen the thread that connects my outer life and my inner life?
Your loved one should celebrate your birthday because of the special gift for them in form of you. Unique loving gift for life.

I can't speak for others but I think its very important! To me, it means that they care enough to make that a special day. No, he's never forgotten my birthday, just made them hell.

not that important to me. and yes my birthday was forgotten. if i was paying attention at the time i would have seen the change in attitude that led to our divorce. if your birthday has been "forgotten" watch out, your doing something wrong

he has never once forgotten it until today and he always speaks of it in advance. i don't really see it as significantly important but i'm thankful, blessed and appreciate he even remembers it let alone celebrating it. it's already enough to know he never forgotten

its important
nope, she hasn't forgotten it
and I haven't forgotten hers
a few anniversaries went by without either of us remembering, I forgot the 10 year one recently. Kind of bad I think.
