there are several factors involved, for most adults 6 to 8 hours of sleep is important. Avoid caffeinated and alcoholic beverages esp after 5 pm, eat light, exercise, relax and read before bedtime. See your doctor if all fails

There is no hard and fast rule other than when in the growth period. Then teens can't get enough sleep. The problem being, they feel they are grown and don't go to bed at a proper time. Become difficult to wake in the mornings.

You may not feel like you need to sleep more, but in order for your body to be fully rested, you do. Try not going to bed so early. The best time to sleep is between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
