for anyone who doesn't know, the bad guy makes bond sit on a chair with the bottom cut out, and swings a heavy knotted rope up between his legs. OUCH!

I didn't laugh at that scene. Well, save for the end with the quip about scratching his balls. I was one of the girls who goes 'ouch..jeez, poor guy' kinda thing. Still, I was amazed at how well he acted it. I mean, how many other actors do you know who can fake pain and defiance like that?

I like the way women empathise with men when they whacked in the knackers as Bond did. You have no idea how painful it is, yet, you still go "ouch" when you see it happening to someone on TV or in a film.

Well, it made me feel more uncomfortable as the guy next to me was the only person in the audience laughing the whole way through the scene. In fact he laughed at every bit of violence that took place....
Cinemas are full of freaks :-)!

It was a very disturbing scene. I'm glad Le Chiffre stopped when he did.
