It's just as popular overseas. I live in Australia, and it perpetually dominates the charts. I don't think it's quite so popular in the UK, though.

Prolly very popular.. cuz it seems like everyone who isn't American wishes to be... so they prolly like the popular music too... and not like they would know of any unpopular music from America cuz thats just how it is... unpopular American music never really gets known out of the states unless they are just lucky or just try hard for it... if that made any sense...

quite dominant on commercial radio, although there is legislation stipulating that a radio station has to play a specific ratio of local artists to overseas artists, in most cases the latter is higher than the former. although it probably doesn't apply to government funded radio stations such as australia's triple J which plays heaps of australian music and less music from overseas.
