When I use my shower, air bubbles and a gurgling sound occur at my toilet bowl in the bathroom. When the toilet is flushed the same noises are heard coming from the bathroom drain! Also the same noises can be heard from the kitchen sink drain and the other bathroom at the opposite end of my house. Is this a clog or a blocked vent or what?

Certainly sounds like a partially plugged vent pipe. Fortunately, they're not real tough to clean if you're capable of getting on the roof to the vent pipe itself, with a hose. The most common way to clear obstructions in the vents, even by the plumbers, is to stick a hose down the pipe and turn it on. If you can find one of the expanding bulbs that swell up and seal on the inside of the pipe before spewing a stream of water, then all the better. If you're not capable or don't have a friend that's capable of getting up on the roof, then you'll need a plumber.

Blocked vent sounds like a winner! Make sure a bird hasn't made a nest in the main vent pipe that comes out of the top of your house.

Sure sounds like debris or a birds nest in your plumbing vent. If you own your own house, you can take care of it fairly easily. Look on the roof, over the bathroom look for apiece of pipe coming straight up from the roof. approx 3-4 inch diameter usually. Then check it for debris ,clean it out and go to lowes or home depot and get a cap for it so it doesn't happen again.

Sounds like you have a blockage in one of the vent pipes. These are the pipes that stick up throught the roof. Might want to have a plumber come out to check/clear the vent stack.

you need to replace the vent valve , if your wastepipes are located at the outside of your house remember to buy a two-way vent valve 50mm is fine , they are cheap and easy to replace good luck.
