I have to choose between Ivanhoe, Robin Hood, Robinson Crusoe, Inferno, Kidnapped, Treasure Island and The Jungle Book. Which one would you choose?

That's a tough one. "Treasure Island" would just barely beat out "The Jungle Book" and "Kidnapped" for my choice. Stevenson and Kipling are two of my all time favorite authors, and "Treasure Island" is one of my favorite books. I love sea stories.

Robinson Crusoe.

Probably "Robinson Crusoe", because out of the books you listed, it is the one in which there is the least amount of "story", so the greatest amount of interesting writing. Generally, if a book is widely enjoyed, it has less to do with the plot (or list of things that 'happened') and more to do with the rest of the writing. If you can describe "what happens" in a particular book in one sentence, and people still love the book, you know it's good!

Robin Hood-------was just the most enjoyable for me. Besides, if you do not want to read the book, there are a ton of Robin Hood movies out there.
