the DVD is encrypted, so in theory you can't copy them. but you can down load a program from the USA that decrypts them, allowing you to copy!!

Majority of the commercial DVD movies are copy protected, which means you cannot copy the movies from the DVD to another DVD or to a computer hard drive.

Yes, there are programs out there that you can break the copy protection and copy the DVD. But, this is illegal unless you actually own the DVD. It's basically the same legality loopholes as turning your audio CD's into mp3's.

If you want to read more about it, you can look for CSS (Content Scrambling System). That is the copyright system that DVD's use.

it has a code on it so you cant copy it. and will only play on certain region dvd's.but if you get a cheap dvd player no reader on them they will play any region.
