i updated my internet exploprer to the newest version and now i have popup ads .i have a block on so why are they still coming up?how do i fix it?

My suggestion would be to use Mozilla Firefox instead of IE.

It offers a better browsing experience including a much better pop-up blocker than IE 7. Firefox has much better support and very few viruses are directed to it versus IE.

If your using I.E 7 and are still getting pop-ups then it might be a virus of some sort. Just a suggestion, system recover your pc, then install a pop-up blocker for future security.

go to
tools... on the internet toolbar
and select .. popup blocker
be sure that one is turned on.
