All my favorites from my favorites list got erased. How do I get them back??

What file are they stored in so that I can go see if they're still there?

They are stored in a special folder, as internet shortcuts. Each user have a different folder stored in the user's docs:
C:\Documents and Settings\UseName\Favorites (replace UseName with your user name)

Your question is not clear, if you installed IE7 click on the yellow star at the left side of the tool bar.
