I found this answer on a question of someone just saying one thing wrong about the health service:
"If you dont like it LEAVE! NOW! We wont miss you, we are the land of free, love it or leave, get da *** out of my country and move to north korea!"
I mean is that irony or what, the most "freest" of all nations, and people enforce the opposite, if america truely was freedom land, people would be able to say what they want without being bullied out, "Love it or leave it" what kind of free people say things like that, thats dictatorship, and it sthe ospposite against freedom, its ironic, people must leave if they find a problem with their country (Apparently) that is soo hypocritical, it looks like the "war for freedom" is a sham people dont even know what it's about, "Love it or leave it" sounds like Stalin or Hitler's slogans, next you'll be crucified for speaking anti-bush

You can put me on your list of people who dislike Bush but I feel calling so many Americans hypocrites is not right. There is a line whenever we speak about something that is controversial and if by chance we go to far over the line there will be someone on the otherside who is willing to try and crush you. America love it or leave it is an old statement thatr was there before we were born and just remember as bad as you think it is , the grass is not greener on the other side of the fence. Let to the good in people not the bad. Merry Xmas

You must not LIVE in America. If we didn't have freedom of speech, you wouldn't have anything to bit*ch about, now would you? You can say whatever you want and as far as anti-Bush goes, I'm a Democrat, thank you very much.
Why do so many foreigners want to come to America? Answer that question, Dude. Isn't it ironic that the ones who come here don't mind working for a US dollar and getting a US education. And their countries don't mind eating the US provisions or taking US handouts. That, my friend, is hypocritical!
I guess I'm going to have to say it too: Love this country and all it offers to the world, or please take a hike.
Godloveya, anyway.

Hypocrisy is a part of life. Its almost impossible to avoid. Plus my question that would go along with yours would be, "Why are there so many stereotypes?" Plus I think you need to brush up on your news. Only about 30% of Americans like Bush. And irony, by definition, is when the plot takes a complete turnaround from the predicted. Irony in this case, is that you are stereotyping all Americans by judging that one arrogant American. Don't judge people even if they judged you on your position with the health care. Assuming all Americans are hypocrites when this guy is assuming all people of your nationality hates America, that's kind of hypocritical. You're probably going to be face with a lot of ranting Americans who are NOW going to tell you to "love it or leave it, because they have a right to be offended from an unfair stereotype you've just presented them with.

When you going to say Americans hypocarates just go in front of the mirror and will find yourself the same. In noway you can judge a nation as whole in a bird's eye view.Americans even not crucified for saying anti-bush even in the elections.they love freedom. If anybody is hypocarate , they can be found in any country.I believe your feelings are mostly influenced by sectarian fundamentalistic outlook which is causing great abuse of the world peace and is jeopardising the global unified war against trerror irrespective of caste, religion and country.

American stands for freedom and fight for freedom, and discrimination because they REALLY need these icons in the country. The fact that you have just encountered one of many incidents that happen daily in this countries. America began with black people slavery and discrimination. One can still see discrimination daily news on TV. America is a "melting pot" with many ethnics/religions from around the world, so it is easy to encounter such hashful/discriminate situation in daily activities. To criticize "American" is like criticizing the whole world of being hypocrite. Ultimately, I think it is human-nature. You should learn to scope with it. There are actually good civilized human-beings...keep looking. I believe you come to this country in search of freedom so you may be more pissed off to see someone speak like that in this country. But again, this country is a melting pot of people around the world, learn how to scope with human behavior and don't icon the entire ethnic.

Freedom always has rights and responsibilities. For instance, freedom of speech is fine but yelling fire in a crowded theater when there is no fire, is not okay. I am in no way defending the "love it of leave it" philosophy but essentially it is saying, be constructive in improving it or be quiet. Incessant complaining without solving does nothing but to bring everyone down. And if you are so critical without a workable alternative solution - you are not helping.

America has freedoms that you don't have elsewhere. people come here from all over the world to have these freedoms. A majority of Americans ancestors come from elsewhere (save American Indians) People that came from Europe & Asia in the 18 and 19 hundreds had to adapt to American culture and language. Today immigrants want Americans to adapt to their cultures and speak their languages (I understand the need for America making their home language avaliable to them) But most Americans think that the immigrants should conform to American ways and we shouldn't bow dow to people from elswhere. They FREELY came here to get away from a place where they didnt have said freedoms. The Love it or leave it comes from the fact that if you dont embrace our languge and culture (keep yours to youself please) and complain about us not recognising yours and refusing to adapt to ours. Hence since you came here and there is something you dont like you have to live with it or you are FREE to go back to where you came from. BTW you do have the right to complain about it

I don't think most of the time "love it or leave it" is said out of hypocrisy. I think it's just frustration over being told by people who come here from other countries that our ways are being unfair to them. It gets really annoying after the tax breaks, free medical care and school and every other benefit they enjoy, only to be told we're not being sensitive enough to THEIR culture.

It's the freedom to speak your mind, positive or negative. The person typing the "love it or leave it" has not authority to make them leave.... they are just expressing their opinion. THAT is what makes America great. Try saying what you want about the Sunnis or Shites in Iraq.... you'll get your head blown off.
