I have had similar results in Internet Explorer. I can go into the lobby with no problems. When I create a table the little pop-up with the number of players, rated/unrated, etc. goes fine. It even shows that I am in whatever table that was created but the table never opens up. Pop-ups are allowed etc. I tried reverting back to IE6 from IE7 and still get the same results. It works fine in both Firefox and Opera though.
What does work is to go into options and then choose small window. Then it loads the table without any problems.

make sure your popups are allowed on that side . if not your table won't load

Turn your pop-up blocker off.
