Dial-up? Ouch! No computer phones on that connection.
The other question is really a matter of when, where, and how often you talk on the phone. If you don't use it often, a landline will be cheaper... like $30 a month or less. Cellphones are going to be %40 or more depending on the company and plan you get.

I only have a cell phone and have actually saved money. Now my cable company has a package with cable, cable modem and broadband phone line for about the same price as I am paying for my cable/modem service. Check into something like this. I wouldnt give up my cell phone due to work though.

Tasha is correct. If your on the go most of the day go with a cell phne. If you call 800 #s perodically, wait for evening where most plans have no minutes running up.

U don't want dial up. Most Cable/ Satelite companies offer bundle packages with phone and internet really cheap. I have the bundle of cable, phone, and internet and I only pay about $130.00.

Home phone, only if you are home a lot. It's least expensive. If you are always gone, don't waste your money and buy a cell phone.
