I am a teen muslim who wears the scarf and is very firm in her belief but I definately eat like a pig. (well not in an eating disorder way but i eat healthily) I have many muslim girlfriends from all over america and some in london, too, and no, I've never heard or seen an annorexic muslim girl. I've ever even thought about it. It's kind of funny. I wouldn't think they would because they are confident with themselves and their body and they don't wear tight clothes or date so theres no need to impress guys. Thats an interesting question! It wouldn't be very logical for a muslim who practices modesty to be annorexic, bulemic, or an over eater would it?

Devout moslems dont eat pork which is very fatty or drink alcoholic drinks. These could make a difference to the incidence of eating disorders.

Yeah thats why they wear long robes, they can just squat when them gets gut rot, no need to wriggle aout of jeans or the like and no need to muck about with undies, very practical.

there isnt a link between eating dissorders and religion, as far as i knew they didnt make the differentiation us humans to when it comes to picking a sufferer. youre just as likely to be muslim, jewich, hindu, sikh, christian or agnostic or athiest and anorexic or bullemic, theres no way the god you worship makes any difference in if you suffer either...sorry.

Not in SaudiArabia... they are pretty healthy compared to women in the west who are statistically obese..
Traditionally saudi women cook home made meals with fresh meat and produce.. They walk a lot due to not being able to drive...
I should know.. I am one (Saudi-American living in Saudi)
