I met this boy one night. I think it was love at first sight. It was something about the way he acted that made me want him to be mine and mine only. As we began talking, he told me about some troubles in his life. His parents never supported him in school, he was addicted to drugs and smoking, he had started drinking and hanging out with the wrong crowd at a young age, he was failing all of his classes so college was already a no. He wanted to turn his life around, but he had no one to do it for. He told me he couldn't do it for him. As our relationship got stronger, I became the reason why he shouldn't do those things. I gave him strength. He's thanked me for everything I've done many times. But it doesn't matter that I did it, its whatever makes him happy.

It depends on the person. You have to get to know them a little bit so you can know what they would like. Sometimes I call them up, tell them I'm running errands and ask them what I can pick up for them. Or I'll offer to come and weed their garden. Or sometimes I'll invite them to go hiking with me. Or I'll give them tickets to a concert and let them decide who to take.

Just one little diddy I do is make, bake, package and deliver over 125 packages of Christmas cookies every year at this time. The joy on the elderly peoples faces is all the thanks I need!
