i own a repair shop, and if yours is electric shift,,the one with the button,,look for a blown fuse for it they were really common for blowing fuses,, in the front differential unit it works on what is called an actuator but the transfer case should lock no matter what ,if its a manual transfer case with the lever in the floor it will lock up when you pull it down, but it may not make the front differential unit lock up on it,which is the same as not having 4 wheel drive but if yours is all electric lock up,you first have to get power to it for it to work, and the fuse box has a fuse marked 4 wheel drive, and if this blows, you loose everything, including the light that tell you its in 4 wheel dive also, but f you can not figure this out you may have t have service technician check it for you i do a lot of these especially this time of year and i have never ran across one i couldn't repair yet, there basically simple to work on good luck with it,i hope this help,s.

I'm not exactly sure. It might be a fuse is blown. Try replacing some fuses and see if that works.
