Our freedom of speech has always been somewhat curtailed. This I didn't realize until Connie Chung Interviews Newt Gingwichs mother and she got the woman to say that Newt thought Hilary Clienton was a B****! Right after that Connie yanked from television.
It wasn't a life interview. So it could have been pulled or that portion could have been cut so it got approval from her bosses.
It's just much worse now then every. Don't get mad and say I would like to blow this place up cause that will get you in the slammer!

Not even close . For instance cursing in public is an arrestable offense as is the "N" word which is a legitimate word in the dictionary although most people hardly ever used it correctly because most Americans are illiterate .
Also, the capitalistic exploitation of information regarding health
and welfare I believe is a violation of the 1st amendment and the individual .And meanwhile advertisers and others are allowed to lie to the public as much as they like .How do people feel when they are tricked into giving money over the Internet because they didn't feel like spending the rest of their lives reading the fine print
(conditions of agreement)only to find a billing later on when they check their bank account overview, and they believed it when the service claimed to be for free several times?

I used to think so, but I am becoming increasingly concerned. I believe in the old phrase "I can't agree with your opinions, but I'll defend to the death your right to voice them".
It seems to me that we are getting bound up in a whole mess of 'political correctness' ("That's offensive - you can't say that") and government restriction.
A case in point is the reaction to the BNP trial. Now, I am completely and utterly ANTI- the BNP, but if they choose to hold those views, that's up to them. I will seek to show them up as the nasty little racists that they are by the force of my arguments.
But when they're acquitted there's an immediate call for stronger laws so that they would be convicted in the future.
What does that do? Gives them a platform to stand on and stifles free speech.
No, providing you don't deliberately incite people to go out and commit crime free speech is a cherished part of our democratic system which needs to be preserved.

No, New Labour (Communist party with new name) are gradualy removing our Freedom to speak out against things we believe in. Although homosexuality is not a problem to me, it is to the church. The labour party have introduced Laws in direct conflict with the Christian church which makes even to quote the bible against the law. There is a secret police been formed to deal with those church members that speak out and from what I hear the secret police are not pleasant to you when they take you in for interigation. New Labor have taken this country into the
European Super State which controls much of what we do as citizens without a referendum, New Labour has taken us into a war with Iraq the British people did not want, New Labour disbanded the House of Lords without consultation with the people, New Labour refuse to stem the tide of imigration and most disturbing of all although New Labour recognise the Jewish right to exist it does not recognise the English's Right to exist Quote Jack Straw ''There are no English'' if you look on goverment forms english is not included as a race of people. The communist party is trying to finish us off and if we do not do somthing about it they will succeed. The problem is conservative have taken over the old Labour role and Liberals have openly admitted that if they get in they will increase immigration to record numbers (paddy Ashdown quote ''Weshould let all the romanians and any others into this country ''.If the BNP or UKIP
do not do well athe next elections democracy as we know it will be dead. New labour are already looking at ways to silence the BNP. Another problem with communism is will they relenquish power if beaten at the polls.

Rights can't be given as gift, but stolen with force. Today we don't have freedom of speech, in fact we will never have this kind of freedom on radio or tv. But it can be achieved easily on the world wide web (www), where there's true freedom.

If a member of The Christian community were to voice the opinion that Homosexuality was wrong then he would get a visit from the boys in blue if there was a complaint. We have seen it reported in the media-so no we have lost our freedom of speech.

You mean in Singapore? No I don't think so...
At the sacrifice of democracy and freedom of speech, Singapore has achieved rapid growth and keeps the unity of the country. It depends on you if you choose either the freedom or the life.

In the UK we are told that everyone has freedom of speech. But this is only the case if you are in a minority and preach hate crimes toward white christian people, vice versa and you are hauled up in court as a racist bigot who incites racial hatred.
Freedom of speech, Not in this country, Not at this time. Multiculturalism made sure we must hold our tongues.

For the most part, we do. You can post almost anything you want on your own website. You just can't threaten the president.
