Because you're not thinking about it!

Yeah sure, time goes fast when you're enjoying yourself - it's all relative, isn't it?

You're not thinking about how slowly time is going; you're not watching the clock; you're experiencing the here and now - but what does that mean??

We know that certain activities produce certain chemicals in the body, for example, many sports induce endorphine production, which can bring about a natural 'high'.

It is my guess that when you are feeling 'high', your brain is processing the chemical information of enjoyment, which doesn't take much effort.

However, whenever you are feeling bored or 'down', your brain is busy processing the electrical information of thought, thinking up ways to alleviate the situation (or worrying because it does not know how!).

So, in short, there are at least two different processes going on inside of your head. The one that deals with time is not the one that deals with enjoyment.

I hope that helps:.)

Coz when yr not enjoying yrself, you constantly look at the time and it just seems to go on and on and on. But when you're having a good time and enjoying yourself, you arent bothered at the time and dont look at the clock (or your watch) and suddenly the time has gone. its like college: boring lessons go slow, interesting lessons go fast. Soooo anoying

It doesn't go faster--it just seems that way!! You're not thinking of time when you are enjoying yourself-- it's the furthest ting from your mind.

Its because your not looking at you watch to see how much time has gone passed. When im at work I look at my watch every 2 seconds but when im having fun at work and I dont look and the time goes so fast.
