Ok me and the husband have decided to ttc ( been about a month). I have just come off bc so I have been pretty irregular, but on average 30 day cycle. We have had sex some optimum times here in the last two weeks.
To the real issue - I believe I had some implantation bleeding yesterday. It was nothing much just some red on the tp, just one time. If this is implantation bleeding, how soon can I take a hpt? or will a blood pg test show up sooner?

I would wait 2 weeks. I had implantation bleeding (confirmed by doc not just me saying that!) and I tested positve about 10 days later. 2 weeks should give you time.

When I got pregnant it was amazingly fast. I took a week of bc, stopped taking it, and got my period once. My last period started December 24th, and by January 24th I was testing positive (it was very faint, but it was there). The catch being that I was 22 and my husband was 21. A blood test will show up sooner, but some doctors are reluctant to order one until a urine test is positive. I'd give it a couple weeks and take a test from the drugstore, they are very reliable. If it's negative, don't worry and give it a few more days and take another. The first test I took was negative and that was the day before my period was due. I took another 5 days later because I still hadn't started, and it was positive. Be patient (I know it's hard) and just give it a little time. When your urine test is positive, then your doctor will order a blood test to confirm (and possibly for your insurance purposes). Good luck!

HPT can only pick up at minimum 25 HCG a blood test can pick up anything! But since HCG doubles every few days I would test soon. No need for a blood test but if you are preggo the Dr will confirm by doing blood work!

In two weeks you should try the hpt and if it's positive, make an appt. at the doctor for a confirmation blood test.

Anything before 10 dpo (days past ovulation) is really too early. If you had implantation bleeding yesterday, you should be about 6-8 dpo.
