All you have to do is plug in x = 3, to get

f(3) = 250(0.5)^3

With a lack of a calculator, I'm going to convert that into a fraction and solve from there.

f(3) = 250(1/2)^3
f(3) = 250(1/8)
f(3) = 250/8 = 125/4

f(x) = 250(0.5)^x where x = 3
= 250*.125
= 31.25
