Yes, under preferences. Once there, look for the setting called share, or sharing. Make sure the box marked "Share the following file" is not checked, then restart limewire

I thought you stopped them from being able to get into your shared folder. Go into Limewire library so your folders show intop window. Right click on shared file and an option menu will allow you to selct 'stop sharing this file'

Yeah, I stopped ALL traffic, they were uploading more than I was downloading!
Go to the options, and clear all the file types to upload, reduce the upload to zero and download to max, untick the box for sharing partial files.
But note, if you do not share, some will not let you play!

Yep just change the settings to stop file sharing so people cannot download your stuff
