I think all presidents have had their negative press. So in that sense yes.

It has reach new heights that I have never seen before, it almost like it is mental decease. I dislike Bill Clinton but I did not disagree with all his policies some were decent it's call being objective, but the Bush Bashers it beyond rational thinking the guy might as well be Satan. Have you notice even when President Bush is insulted he does not lash out at his tormentors like Clinton did I think it shows a lot of class because the easiest thing to do when someone call you names is to lash out.

It comes with the territory. There will always be people who are so partisan they nothing any president of the opposite party does will be right. Bashing is never constructive nor helpful in any way.

Every President has been bashed since history began. It's the same as being an arm chair quarterback.

It comes with the territory if you are a republican. Bush bashing has reached heights far higher than the convicted criminal Slick Willie. Then, the left, mainstream media told us it was just about sex. Sorry, folks, he perjured himself, obstructed justice (telling Betty Curie his secretary while being felated), and tampered with witnesses.
See, it's "cool" to slam Bush, hence all the people thinking they are doing something unique or funny. Example, the fat, drunk Danny Devito going nuts with the fawning ladies of the View. It's ok, see, it's about GW.
Yet, when the president turns OUR White House into a whorehouse with his WIFE and CHILD down the hall, it's ok. Or, lying to his entire administration and american citizens. John Kerry is trying to explain away his insults of the men and women protecting him by saying he was trying to ridicule the president. Get it. Ha, ha.

Yes especially now that we can all voice our opinion over the internet. Clinton hasn't been President for six years and he still gets bashed. Presidents are now like lovers who have wronged us. It's all out war, take no prisoners.

Clinton and Bush (43) are the first presidents to serve in the internet age. The internet has given millions and millions of people a voice where they wouldn't have had one before, courtesy of blogs, etc.

The criticism of Bush, while well-deserved IMO (sorry, but the man has gotten a free ride from the so-called "liberal" media), will follow with subsequent presidents. They will find themselves subjected to scrutiny that their predecessors were not.

Maybe Bush is bashed because he is elected by and backed by THIS secret and evil group that's been in control of everything for far too long!...

Yes, and to the extreme as the terrorists will spread all the propaganda they can and influence anyone they can to get someone in office who is not aggresive on military. Then guess what they are planning to do? See 'Defying the Iranian Revolution' for anyone wanting more info.

No, not on my terms, only if they don't do a good job. But in generl yes. There will always be someone to hate. America is divided pro this and pro that so people will always disagree.
