There's only a couple of places you can get an oil and water mixing problem. Between the head and the block and sometimes (rarely) if the main seal is bad. You said you replaced the head gasket, but did you have the head checked for warpage or cracks? Same with the block? Were the head bolts tightened to specs? Sometimes head problems don't show up until the engine is warm. Does the car run smoothly both when cold and when it warms up? If it has a lot of mileage on it, I'd dump it. Sounds like a major headache to come.

Sounds like you got ripped off. Head gaskets don't leak on those, its always the intake. You're going to a mechanic that doesn't know what hes talking about and is just taking your money. Those guys give the rest of us a bad name, come to Arkansas and I'll fix you right up

get a new car because this will not be the last problem u will have with this car. im guessing it has relatively HIGH mileage. yeah, the best thing to do is to either sell it on the street for the most you can get out of it, probably like $1000 or so, or take it to the junkyard. use that $1000 as down payment for a new car.

The block sounds like it may be cracked Your mechanic should have checked this first. It is not advisable to continue driving it.
