Oh dear. Okay..stay away from fish. Also read the warnings on cleaning products. Don't take any pain relievers besides tylenol. Rest as much as you can. Go to CVS or Walgreens or something and buy "Prenatal Vitamins" and take them every day.
Have you called a doctor yet? It's important that you get in to see one right away so you can get all the information you can. If you don't have insurance, you could look into getting government aid.
Good luck.

Get the book What to Expect When You're Expecting. It will answer almost every question you could possibly have about your pregnancy at any time, and it has a whole section on the pregnancy diet, and it has some recipes with it too. I'm in school for nursing, so I already knew quite a bit about pregnancy and nutrition and what not, but this book still helped out tremendously! Good Luck with everything! Also, don't worry about what other people say. I had friends who told me to get an abortion, because I'm only 20. I ignored them...it's not something I believe in, and me and my husband are so excited that our baby will be here any day now! It's not easy by any means, and you'll have a hard time. Since he's in the military and going back to Iraq, I'll be raising the baby, going to school, and working part-time. Just make sure you have a good support system. Everything Happens For A Reason!!

Throughout the pregnancy, you must be supervised by a doctor, who will tell you when to do tests (right noe you need to do tests for toxoplasmosis, cmv, hepatitis, diabetes, etc), sonograms, and what to eat. In general, you must not drink alcohol, you must not smoke, or be in a place where others smoke, you must not eat uncooked meat (any meat you eat must be very well done, so this bans also prosciutto and smoked ham), you should avoid liver. It is good to eat proteins, but not much fat, and you should eat many fruit, salads and vegetables, but they must be weel washed. Also, avoid any medication, even over the counter drugs. Finally, you may need to take some supplements of ferrum or calcium, but ask your doctor, and make sure to have milk but only pasteurised.
Buy a book about pregnancy, it will help you through it and it will help you with the birth. I congratulate you for keeping your child, by the way. It is quite normal not to want to kill your baby, but apparently it is not so self-evident for some people over here. This is a decision you will never regret, once you hold your little baby in your arms, whereas an abortion is a decision always regretted to some degree, at some point. I hope you have the support of your parents.

You can eat any healthy or salty things. Dont smoke or drink beer, wine,or coffee. I think you are making a good decision keeping the baby and asking yahoo answers for help on what to eat. However I dont think that getting preg at this age was a very good decision at all. I hope that birth comes out fine and I congratualate you on having a baby. Good luck and best whishes for your new baby.

You are doing the right thing. DO NOT ABORT THE BABY. You could look into adoption. On to your question:
No smoking or alcohol, at all. Also, read the labels on all medicines, cleaning supplies, food/spray for plants, etc. You need to be supervised by a doctor.
GOD BLESS! Good luck with everything.

Just stay healthy, If you are deficient in nutrients, the baby will get what it needs from YOUR reserves. You should speak to a dietichian though at your hospital. And one of the biggest myths is that you're "eating for two" Ask any nutritionist they will tell you that you only need about 800 extra calories a day during pregnancy.

I just wanted to say that there is a website.. www.babycenter.com
I am 31 and just had my second baby and that site is a life saver. You can go on there and chat with other moms that are having a baby the same month as you and they will help you through this time. Good Luck and God Bless!!

First off congrats. I am also 16 and pregnant. I'm 5 months. Well I know for a fact that you should slow down on alot of sweets to prevent gestational diabeties but, if your like me and don't really have a problem with sweet stuff, your current sweet intake is probably okay. Some good things to eat and drink are Macaroni and Cheese(it's full of calcium), milk, nuts, brocolli with melted velveta cheese on top, water, dry beans, eggs, vitamin rich cereal, juice, cheese(just be careful of some kinds), and of course fruit. Remember that fruit juices don't equal up of fresh fruit . Well best wishes.

things not to eat
liver, pate or anything with liver- contains vitamin A which can cause birth defects
unpasturised milks and cheeses, can give you v horrible infection that can cause you to miscarry or harm the baby
all eggs and meat must be well cooked no runny yolks or rare steaks, can lead to food poisioning which is very dangerous.
eat plenty of fruit and vegetable, make sure they are well washed and drink at least 1 pint of milk, ur bones and the babys are still growing.
you should take pregnancy vitamins and folic acid as you are still young and growing and require them for urself as well.
as you are young you need to take a little more care and eat as healthily as possible, this will make sure your preg is as safe as poss
good luck
