Sure they deserve a shot. Michigan had its chance and lost. Don't forget that when Florida lost to Auburn there was a controversial game changing call made by the officials. One thing is for certain is that the officiating in the SEC has been sub-par this year at best.
Also, I thought Meyer did not fully utilize Tebow this year. I hate to say it since I am an avid LSU fan but before Tebow leaves he will bring a national championship to Florida and they will run the table.

I think it will be Florida-Ohio State in the BCS championship game. Michigan is a very good team and "may" be the second best team in the country. Florida is one of those teams you see once in a while that plays "well enough to win". I watched the Auburn game and as an Auburn grad was thrilled with the win over Florida, but I think Florida is the best team in the SEC (although LSU fans could argue that point ) and deserves a shot at the Buckeyes in Glendale. I believe Florida can beat Ohio State if they got the chance although I'm sure Ohio State would be favored in that potential matchup.

Florida ABSOLUTELY deserves a shot ! As you stated, Michigan had their shot & lost. Florida WON their conference, which, by the way, is the toughest conference in the nation, where Michigan came in 2nd in their conference.

Had Arkansas not lost to LSU, they probably would have been ranked around 5th, making Florida's victory all that much better.

Michigan did beat-up a way overrated Notre Dame team on the road, but like I said, the Irish are overrated (the BCS loves them by the way).

Florida even played an extra game, which had they lost, would have hurt them in the rankings while Michigan was sitting home rooting for UCLA & then Arkansas.

So my vote is yes ! Florida has earned that right to play for the national championship.

If this were any other regular season week, no team would ever be dropped in the polls if they did not have a game scheduled.
Michigan is currently ranked above Florida, and should stay there. If they are dropped below Florida, it is nothing short of collusion by the pollsters.
If Michigan was a better team, in the pollsters opnion last week, and the week before, how did they get worse without playing a game?????

They DO NOT deserve a shot...they lost to Auburn, they barely pulled out wins over almost every other "big" game, and they had a HORRIBLY weak schedule. The SEC is usually a strong conference, but it doesn't hold much water right now.

However, Michigan had NO bye-weeks...they played RIGHT through the season until the last game against Ohio State...and they only lost to Ohio State by THREE POINTS.

You may be a Florida fan, but seriously, look at it from an UNBIASED VIEW (me...as I'm not a fan of really anyone).

Michigan only lost to the NUMBER ONE TEAM, and again, only by three points. Florida lost to Auburn (which are ranked number 11 by the way). Also, look at these stats:

The teams they won big over are as follows:
Southern Miss, UCF (shocker...), Kentucky (toughie...), Alabama, LSU (I'll give you that one...probably what is keeping them so high in rankings), and Western Carolina (are you kidding me...).

Now, these are the teams they barely squeaked out:

Tennessee (yeah...TENNESSEE...you know, 9-3, ranked 16th) by only ONE POINT!!!!!!!!

Georgia...by 7 points...and they aren't even ranked!!

VANDERBILT...by SIX POINTS....are you KIDDING ME?!?!

South Carolina (by ONE POINT...again...this is getting tedious)

Florida State...by 7 points....

And finally...their loss to Auburn by 10 points (not THREE, like Michigan/Ohio).

So tell me again why they deserve it...and please, use spell check this time....

The sad part of this whole thing is that Michigan fans obviously are going to say that they deserve the rematch and with good merit. The Florida fans also have an argument for getting OSU in the title game. The only way to settle it is to have Michigan play Florida to see who gets OSU. I still say Michigan can hang with OSU more than Florida can.

why would you say michigan had there shot? Didnt florida have there shot and lose to auburn earlier in the year? Florida has also barely gotten by some lowly opponents and dont really have a shot against Ohio State...Just because michigan lost to ohio state earlier that was not the national tiitle game so to say they had there chance just shows people need to really think about what there saying before they say it...
