Our parents said this to us and we tell the younger generations this too, like in my day we didn't have enough shoes to go round etc etc. What do you tell your kids, or kids what do your rents tell you?

In my day we didn't have a lot of things like this thing I'm playing on now.

But you know what I would not change my child-hood for nothing in the world.

Times change and people change.

Thank you very much Happy Holidays

Scary to see these kids with no common sense or streetsmarts running the world. How dumb can we get? We are well on the way. Social control, cameras on every corner, profiling, overabuse of affirmative action which is not necessary anymore. Employers must love those big tax breaks they get. I tell my kids that it won't be too hard to make it in the world as so many have no guts, common sense, or brains.

Every generation complains about the next one and then the next one after that.
The things my father said to me were full of wisdom and truths.
I do remember him telling me that life is much easier for the kids of today, which was many moons ago.
Oh, I do remember him saying (he was the youngest of 11 children) that he didn't know that shoes came w/o cardboard in the soles until he bought his own. lol. hand me downs.

I tell it in a way to show how technology has progressed, so they do not lose sight of the past, but I never say: "In my day, we didn't have fancy-schmancy cell phones. We had two tomato cans and a string!"
