Looking for advice for British citizens who want to live in India and start a business. My partner is an NRI.

Can we buy property / business in Kerala. Do we have equal rights in property and business owning ?

Be careful. Make sure you contact other Brits who have bought property in Kerela, and learn all the good and bad stories. You need to contact a "property deed writer" and make sure the property you are buying is not already owned !!!!

Property can be bought by NRI's, Business can also be done in such manner. But best would be seeking a more professional advise. Iam not a Brit but a NRI... and iam planning on some porperty purchase.

no you cannot buy a property if you are a NRI, but if there is a resident for cosigning, then everything will be fine
