Absolutely not. Acer laptops are cheap, poorly constructed computers. They are easily damaged or worn down, and in general just a plain piece of junk.

My 1st computer was an Acer. It worked fine for me. It was old when I got it but didn't have and problems with it. I moved up to a Dell because they had online financeing. HP are a good machine and I know many people who have them.

I have heard a lot of people have had problems with the mother boards on those.
I would suggest a HP over a Acer.

I guess if you wanted a computer to go on the internet and just check email and all of that, Yes. But, if you wanted to do high graphic gaming and webpage design NO!!! I would get an HP a1350n If you can find one.
