you mean soccer? not very. it is acually very popular as a sport small kids play, especially girls. moms put their small kids in soccer because they don't want them playing football because it is too rough. that's where the term 'soccer mom' comes from. but by the time these kids reach high school age, all of the really good male atheletes play football. high school football on friday nights is as american as apple pie. some of the girls keep playing soccer, but others get into field hockey, swimming, volleyball, or basketball. as a spectator sport, soccer is no more popular now than it was 30 years ago. i keep seeing people on this forum saying it's getting more and more popular here, but it's not. if it was, i would see it. the pro leauge here does not even have a network TV contract. if you want to watch any soccer here, you have to order some obscure channels like ESPN de portez or fox soccer channel and you can watch some foriegn games. but 99% of the country does not get these channels. football is and always will be the most popular sport here, followed by NASCAR, baseball, and basketball. soccer isn't even a blip on the radar screen, and it will never approach the popularity of these other sports.

Soccer (America's name for Football) has been around for a VERY long time.
There just was a Preference towards it being a girls sport since the boys/men had American Football and Hockey under their complete control.
Lately boys/men are trying it and then quitting. Lacross has become more popular the last few years and can end up with more coverage then Soccer. Lacross started off being more of a girls sport,.. now it's pretty balanced.
This has pushed Soccer down,.. so males are aware of Soccer,.. less girls are playing Soccer,.. and Lacross is wildly popular.

tremendously much any extreme college i've got seen has baseball and soccer fields. And no i don't think of baseball is loss of life in any respect, i don't comprehend why you're saying extra substantial, perhaps extra general right now yet extra substantial?
