If you were a good lover, she'll remember you for the rest of her life. She will do her daily thing and she'll think of her past.
She will think what would and could have been, even if her marriage to the other man is a happy one, she'll always wonder in the back of her mind. Therfore, she'll never forget you.

If you were her first love then definitely you will live in her memories for ever but that does not mean that she must be thinking about you 24*7. Indian girls are brought up with lots of emotions and adjustments so once married whether by the person of their choice or other way, they try to adjust to the new surroundings so as not to hurt anyone. And then the day's routine does not give them enough time and opportunity to think about past. Moreover, if the husband is caring, understanding and there is a positive communication with him , why on earth will the girl worry or cry for the guy who let her marry somebody else.
Watch hindi movie 'Raincoat' + 'Hum dil de chuke sanam'. Both are not just other Indian Masala movies, you will get an insight into what rules the mind & the heart of Indian girls.
P.s.# Pay extra attention to all the dialogues between Mouli Ganguly & Ajay Devgan in Raincoat. It will give you a clear picture of your ex's daily life.

If a girl loves a boy and marries another the reasons may be
- not bold enough to convince parents
- just a past time. The cinema is over
- the boy is afraid of his parents

In case it is tru love, whatever may be the circumstances, she will marry only the boy she loved.

Otherwise there is no respect for the word - LOVE

You know more than that there is one thing, FATE. We don't have any force on our heart. You know we meet many people incidentally, with some out of them we wish to have a life but fate has its own reasons and we live our life with other people.
So she is also stuck in this situation. They can't stand against their families. It doesn't mean that they live happily after that but they kill their own love with their own hands instead of being rejected by their family. Because in eastern culture it totally strange to have a love or even a boy friend for a girl.
So what they simply do is, they simply sacrifice their life for the happiness of other. Others who decide for their tomorrow that will be their past on day and they have to live with it.

may i think, and view ,this way ? a person always weighs a value of the opposite option available around before plunging in to a marriage. and in reality takes to loving the persn just married because love being love as before a replacement of the stake-holder is an outcome of changes in time and space . can love fall behind ? marriage and love are mutually excluve .one just meta morphes in to other
along the line.

if the husband is reasonable, usually girls move ahead with life and stop repenting about their lost lovers ...

with kids and home responsibilities (and professional careers if there are any), no one can afford to live in the past ...
