I would say go for HR coz you can answer most of the questions using common sense. Marketing is tough coz you'll need to write answers about data analysis and also use creativity, which I lack.

Shweta --

I never recommend that a person with little or no corporate management experience go for an MBA. And MBA is a great thing if you're middle-management in a company, and wish to rise beyond that point.

If you're looking towards human resources then you might wish to talk to a HR person, and see what credentials that HR departments look for these days.

If you want to do marketing -- uh, how do I say this politely -- okay, there is a joke that explains things: "What is the difference between 'sales' and 'marketing'? The marketing person is smart enough to know when they're lying." The marketing people I've met have two credentials: The ability to manage and organize an ad campaign (no small feat) and the ability to produce BS that sounds good. I don't think that either require a degree.
