I'm guessing that you already know the short answer to your question. Furniture stores is the obvious answer. There are other not so obvious answers if you are willing to settle for good used furniture for a reasonable price.

Goodwill, the Salvation Army, and the St Vincent DePaul Society all sell or give away used furniture, but the pickings are usually very slim and the furniture is usually in bad shape. Flea markets sometimes carry inexpensive furniture, but look out for poor quality. Yard sales sometimes have some good offerings. Ads in the newspaper classified section can be a good source of furniture.

I have always liked estate auctions. Antique and vintage furniture can be expensive, even at auction. Newer furniture is another story altogether. I have seen bedroom suites that weren't more than a couple of years old sell for $150.00 or less. It is amazing what some of this stuff sells for. Chances are that there will be few bidders on newer furniture and that usually makes for good prices. Watch your local newspaper for upcoming auctions and visit the auctioneers website where they often post pictures of items in upcoming auctions.

You can go to the different furniture stores. It depends on if you want new or used. If new you can also go to the Internet to the stores such as wickes, value city, sears or other such stores. If it is used furniture you can go to stores that also have such sites.
