The Shop Around the Corner is a 1940 romantic comedy film starring James Stewart and Margaret Sullavan. The Ernst Lubitsch-directed film spawned a 1949 musical remake, In the Good Old Summertime and a 1998 remake, You've Got Mail. The film was deemed "culturally significant" by the United States Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.
