The boss should be the first one to pass gas to get things going, and putting everyone in a good mood.

No, passing gas is a natural occurance, and unless it was set off intenionally, then the boss shouldn't fire someone for something he himself has done many, many times. Now, if the person can do it to a holiday tune, then they should get a raise.

Unless the employee is making fun of him and the boss owns the company and he thinks that his employees are conspiring against him. Or maybe he suspected the worker got to know of his bad habit from his wife whom he suspects the employee in question is sleeping with because that employee wouldn't know his intimate secret otherwise... Then the boss has good grounds to fire him.
