i want software that when i connect my usb printer to my desktop! i can share it, manage all the prints, set printing limits. Over the LAN network.

Most operating systems have printer sharing capabilities built in. You didn't specify which OS you're using, so I can't provide specific instructions; just look where you configure the printer, and check the documentation if necessary.

You dont need specific software. You can do all of this from the computer that is hosting the printer. Depending on the OS your running, and the File system (NTFS or FAT) you can administer sharing policies for local machine and networked users, and you can control other printing options from the Properties page of the specific printer that is installed.

The software is already contained within Windows.

Assuming you have the desktop switched on, all you need to do is give your printer a share name on it and then add a network printer on your other PCs. Provided the desktop is left switched on, you will always be able to print from your other PCs.

you dont need a program to do that windows xp and 2000 have built in networking capabilities. jus go into my network places right click on printers and select sharing jus follow the onscreen setup process it's fairly easy to understand from there. good luck
