To look like Abercrombie's or Hollister's jeans, use a cheese grater & rub it against one spot on the jeans. My friend does it all the time & you can't even tell they weren't like that when she bought the jeans!

if they are new jeans then it could be harder but with numerous rinse cycles and tumble drying it should do the trick, plus if you have a sander or anything with a rough edge like sand paper, a little friction here and there between washes couldn't hurt. p.s. dont destroy your washing machine throwing stones in there, i dont thinks it worth it to trade a good pair of jeans for a broken appliance. ;)

Get a wallpaper stripper. Take it and very lightly cut into the jeans ever so slightly. Try to find the little strings across. Then iron them hard.

Rub them against a rough serface or crape a knife sideways around the knees. Splatter a little bit of paint if you want.
