When I wake up each morning my whole body feels sore. I don't work out currently, so it's not from that. I stand all day at work, so my feet especially are really sore and hurt when I first get up, but the rest of my body is sore in the mornings as well. Could this be from my mattress? Should I get one of those memory foam ones? Or could the soreness be from something else?

Well it's not old age, I'm 19. The mattress isn't quite that old either, maybe 3 years..

I am sorry to be the one to tell you this but we call these aches & pains THE OLD AGE CREAPING UP!
The best cure in the world for this is loosing weight; if your of course over weight!
Good luck and it also might be time for a good hard matress.

HI My husband and I havenumerous back and bone issues. We switched to a memory foam and latex mattress. It was the best thing we ever did. We love it. We sleep straight through the night and we dont even notice when the other omes tobed r gets ups. We no longer hurt or are soar. It is a piece of heaven. We will not give up our bed fo anything in the world. We stay at 4 and 5 star hotels and we have a horrible time sleeping with out our mattress. I always bring my memor foam pillows with us. I have the DORMIA rapsidody mattress we have given it 5 stars and our friends in maryland bougt it and i talked my chiroprator into buying it. We will have a custom made mattress fo a crib someday. Even if you dont get that brand new mattress is a must and memory foam and latex is te best. sweet dreams.

Scientists have determined that mattresses accumulate microbes, mites over a period of time (even within 3 years). They also state that if one keeps an infant on such a mattress for some time, the infant could die due to the presence of large number of these organisms. These organisms cause rashes on the body and soreness. Best thing is to get rid of mattresses and instead use thick (take about 3 of them) cotton blankets one over the other and use it in place of mattress. It is easy to wash blankets, but you cannot wash mattresses. I had similar problem and I got rid of it by the above method.

Well it can be a few things. If you do not flip the mattress over every now and then it will cause you to sleep in a rut that can lead to pain. It could also be the pillow as well. If it is to high or to low then that will cause pressure on the neck which in turn leads to poor sleep conditions and body aches. You can try a memory foam mattress but I think I would just turn it over and end to end once and see how that goes first.

Yes..
I can almost guarantee the soreness is from your mattress..
My husband and I bought a very expensive mattress when we were engaged, 11 years ago..
the past year or so we are unable to sleep in it anymore :(
We both wake up sore and miserable..we have to wait a little longer untill we can afford a Tempurpedic, so we sleep in various other places such as a couch or the recliners...
If your back is not supported correctly, it causes major stiffness and pain in most of the joints of your body...

Good Sleep is more important to your health. Your body is restoring itself while your sleeping. You should wake up feeling better than when you retired. Realistically Tempurpedic or Equivalent will give you a 75% chance of adequate support and pressure relief. If the soreness is from something else the mattress will definitely help.

YES, it can be from your mattress..... my sons can sleep on soft mattresses but I can't ..... my body aches after a few hrs on my sons bed.... about ur feet .. well after so long on them ... they may lose circulation ...... and after so many hrs rest they maybe trying to "heal" from hard work....my swears by epton salt ...(sp)
u can ask the pharmacist ....it's over the counter ..... u pour it in hot or warm water ...and soak ur feet ... this will help TONS ...
my sister was on her feet almost 20 hrs a day .... and on her days off ... she would soak her feet .....
as for ur body ... try sleeping in different surfaces .. then compare them all.... some times its not how new the mattress is but how firm or soft it is .... memory foam mattress is not for everyone so b4 you invest on one ... make sure it's for you .....
if all else fails ... call your Doctor.....

A new mattress probably would do some good. . . one that has some "give" to it... Also, the soreness might be from stress. Are you under a lot of pressure at work or from the family?

How old are you? Muscle stiffness first thing it the morning, (when you groan getting out of bed!) is common the more you get up in years. You said you don't excersize...well, I think I would start!! 'Course if your mattress is really old, I'd treat myself to a new one. That could be it ,too!
