REM, "I'm pushing an elephant up the stairs"! How bizarre.

George Michael, "Praying for Time"...
These are the days of the empty hand
Oh you hold on to what you can
And charity is a coat you wear twice a year
This is the year of the guilty man
Your television takes a stand
And you find that what was over there
Is over here
So you scream from behind your door
Say "what´s mine is mine and not yours"
I may have too much but I´ll take my chances
’Cause God´s stopped keeping score
And you cling to the things they sold you
Did you cover your eyes when they told you
That He can´t come back
’Cause he has no children to come back for
Worry! LOL

They do change all the time but here are a few of my favourites:
"I am stronger than MENSA, Miller and Mailer I spat out Plath and Pinter. I am everything that you regret. A truth that washes and learnt how to spell". ~ Faster - The Manics. (Because it's clever)
"They keep you doped with religion and sex and tv and you think you're so clever and classless and free but you're still f****g peasants as far as I can see." ~ John Lennon - Working Class Hero. (Because it's true).
"Come sail your ships around me and burn your bridges down. You are a little mystery to me every time you come around". ~ Nick Cave - The Ship Song. (Because it's beautiful).
"Cut loose 'cause you're no use. You're a no-one nowhere washed up baby who'd look better dead." ~ The Stone Roses - I am the Resurrection (Because it's funny).

Mike & The Mechanics: Another cup of coffee - "They all love him but they always try to change him, that's what happens when a girl becomes a wife" Very true apparently!
Eric Clapton: River of tears - "But my times run out and i've got to go"
The Smiths: There's a light that never goes out (The whole song)

One of my favourite lines is this:
"You work your way to the top of the world, then you break your life in two"
(New Order, "Run" - from the Technique album.)
Why's it a favourite of mine? Because it sums up my own life so well!

My favourite lines are from Linkin Park 'Papercut', pretty much the whole song. It talks about a voice in your head that brings you down and laughs at you, it's 'watching all the time'.

Never hunger,
Never prosper,
I have fallen prey to failure,
Struggle within ,
Triggered again ,
Now the candle burns at both ends.
Frayed Ends Of Sanity by Metallica! Not everyones cup of tea but i love it . Good luck and merry xmas when it gets here.

"The beach was deserted, except for some kelp..." BD
This ones been my favourite for twenty years, maybe lack of imagination, or more likely it just harks back to the time when I had unfrazzled brain cells, oh no I think it is my most recent memory, things are worse than I thought.....

"if I am again beside your body, don't tell me where it's been. It's cruel unusual punishment to kiss fingerprinted skin."
I like this line, because it's just bizarre.
"When I am old and grey, I'll look back on my life and say gave me one more day and still I'll never do anything"
That line always reminds me of myself.
Both Barenaked Ladies songs

Every single one of Porcupine Trees lyrics, they are just so imaginative ("Tangerine Trees and Marmalade Skies and
Plasticine Porters with Looking Glass Ties") and also a lot of them convey so much emotion without being trite."Through all the smashing things and crashing cars,I love the ground you walk with all my heart"
