It's troubling how great the problem is, how many have their head in the sand, and how the government just doesn't think it is important enough to pay attention.
I said in 1988 that nothing would ever get me to vote for Al Gore. When Clinton chose him as his running mate I knew Clinton was not to be trusted.
I see now that Al has returned to his true enviromental roots and now i am a proud supporter.

I was quite impressed with the accurate representation of science I was already quite familiar with. I later learned that environmental scientists agreed that the science was accurate.

I did think there was a little too many "pensive Gore moments," but my wife (a Republican, by the way) thought those were the best moments -- putting a human touch on an issue that can otherwise fall into scientific abstraction.

After all, what we're talking about is really the fate of nearly a billion people who are already incredibly poor, and just happen to have the bad luck of living in low-lying areas.

It's really a problem that the whole of humanity needs to tackle.
The picture with the Earth seen from light years away, as a tiny blue dot, really humbled me.

The Earth truly is our only home. We need to do a 180° turn to address this issue.

Edit:
It was not surprising to see that most, if not all, scientists have reached a consensus on this issue.
What still surprises me is how so many people are willing to keep ignoring this, like many of those answering here who simply dismiss it as "propaganda".
Is there any bottom in the barrel of Stupid you drink from? How can you dismiss the opinions of professionals when you prolly don't know anything about biology, meteorology or the environment yourselves?

Bunch of garbage, half truths, misstatements of fact, distortions of reality and generally a propaganda puff piece. There are enough control freaks around now. Don't need any more.

Haven't had a chance to see it yet but I believe global warming is real and action is needed now.
