um...it's really up to you..I have been setting my tree up on Thanksgiving the past several years, and my boyfriend does the outside decorations usually that day or that weekend. When I was growing up my grandmother did not put her tree up until about the week before. The only thing I stick to is taking it down before the new year....usually anytime between the 26th and 31st. Depends on what is going on.

Traditionally 12 days before, although, I don't know many people who follow that tradition anymore.
I don't see any harm in putting them up now, especially if it will make your little boy happy, probably better than being hounded for another week or so!

At home once it's December I think it's ok. But it's crazy when you go to supermarkets in early November and hear Christmas carols coming over the speakers and decorations everywhere.

No I think its as long as its December its ok. But its bad luck to leave them up for more than 12 days after Christmas. Make the wee mans day and put them up.

Oh put them up! You will make him happy!
All the shops have decorations up and the Christmas lights are switched on in most towns and cities. I think once we are into December then it's completely acceptable.
I have heard of people putting them up in October, thats just nuts.

It's entirely up to you. Mine won't be up until the week before Christmas but everyone should do whatever is right for them, forget what others think.
Enjoy x
