Do you mean from HArry POtter? If so the children are learning about boggarts. They are thing (not sure if monster is correct name) that can change its shape into your worst fears. The children shout Ridiculus and imagine their worst fear doing or being or wearing something stupid. The Boggart then changes its image to this hilarious thing and is no longer scary.

If you are talking about Harry Potter then it's spelt 'Ridikulus'. It's a spell used on a boggart to change one's greatest fear into something funny. It was used in the 'Prisoner of Azkaban'.
