Working through an agency can be great way to get a permanent position within a company. And if you don't like the work you are doing you can leave at any time without it being a problem.
I got my previous position through an agency, got a permanent position and managed to get a better permanent job with the same company.
I would think long and hard about doing telesales though, I did it for a while and absolutely hated it! Unless you know you like sales and are a good salesperson (or think you would like it / be good at it), I would look for something else.

I don't know about telesales, but I do know a lot of companies hire some of their permanent people (esp clerical types) through temp agencies. I've had 2 jobs where I interviewed with the company I was to work for, but then I had to go sign up with a temp agency and was paid through them for "x" amount of time until the company decided to put me on their own payroll.

I worked thru an agency
I got a good job thru it
they asked my employers for a 'finders fee' which was about 10% of salary.
i lost the good job.
it is much better to go direct although working thru an agency can give u invaluable experience.
what r ur qualifications.
why not try doing a search on the web for
jobs in.....
careers in .....
u might find something. the web is awesome for getting what u want if u know how to look for it.
good luck.
p.s. i don't like the idea of u being used like that u should have told them to stick it where u would refuse to work !!!

dont bother hun you will be asked to do everything as the agency gets paid twice the amount they give you,but dont tell the business how much they give you.
