I have severe migraines and I always took the recommended dosage on the package throughout my entire pregnancy. I always took Extra Strength Tylenol. I okayed it with my OB first. I've heard some people say it put their baby to sleep but my daughter didn't mind it. Usually when your doctor tells you to take it he will tell you how much whenever you get to go see him or her.

Only take the recommended dose. Don't take extra strength or anything, just the regular tylenol. You can always give your doctor a call and double check over the phone. Even without insurance they should answer that over the phone if you tell them you're waiting for insurance to kick in.

Congrats

Don't take it unless you absolutely have to. When you do, you can take two of the 325 milligram (regular strength), and make sure you wait the time period that the directions say. DON'T take extra strength or more often than directed. I worked in a pharmacy when I was pregnant and that was what the pharmacist told me to take, only take tylenol if you have to take anything. If you have any questions related to medicine, ask your pharmacist. They've been asked all sorts of things, I promise, and they should be able to help (for free).

Tylemol was on the safe list the doctor gave me when I was pregnant. You can take the full dose.

It is safe to take the recommended dosage for an adult.

Also, regarding your insurance...you might want to check with your doctor about that. When I got pregnant, I was able to see a doctor and once my insurance "kicked in," everything was backdated and paid for. Just fyi.

Best of luck with your pregnancy! How exciting :-)

It is perfectly safe to take a full recomended dose of tylonol. It is a class "A" drug proven to be safe during pregnancy. If you have any real concerns ask an OB or nurse. But i think it is a green light.

Call the pharmacist at your local WalGreens or grocery store and ask them. They are always up to date on the latest drug information and they are incredibly helpful.

If you are in doubt contact your doctor. My doctor allowed me to take one, but he didn't want me to in my first trimester. He said that I should try to go without it if at all possible.

Hope this helps.
