I think they have signed him mainly as coverage, which will be fine by him cos he is in his close season with Helsinborg anyway but they know he has the potential to come off the bench and net an inportant winner, Solskjaer used to be the same but is losing it a bit now, Saha is in poor form at the moment so you never know if he gets his chance he could be in the starting line up more than he and we think. Is is still class as he showed in last year champions league final, he won that game for barca.
For me he is one of the best strikers of all time.

He is making more than 60k a week, he is on £125,000 more than Rooney etc. I think he will be good at united, they desperately need attacking options as they have lost there main goalscorer in Ruud. Rooney is a great player but does a lot of work off the ball and contributing to the team. His goalscoring record on paper is average. United need to be looking at long term options, like Fernando Torres or Defoe
