Our all volunteer military is underpayed, and since the invasion of Iraq Bush attempted to cut combat pay !?

Shouldn't our brave men and women who serve recieve the best pay, better equipment, body armor, and other essential equipment?

Since I agree with you, I will only answer with a little sarcasm, Congress got a huge pay raise last year, did you get yours? Somebody does have to pay for it, congress's pay raise that is.

I don't know when he cut the pay, but we have two in combat and they've been getting raises for the last few years.

Combat pay is determined by congress, as is all military funding. Combat pay was cut for soldiers not actually serving in a combat zone.

well, its a volunteer army, you get to see the world, 3 meals a day, free medical, housing, you learn skills and you get to shoot at people, instead of standing on a street corner at 2:00 AM and getting blasted in a drive-by

Please don't take this the wrong way but I thought VOLUNTEERING was A NONPAYING JOB. no matter what you volunteer for....as far as our military..... They are supposed to have the best of every thing including pay or so the civilians are led to believe. is that not true?

i know a lot of people in the enlisted military and they make pretty darned good money. that's why so many of them return to iraq & afghanistan. i think you're full of political BS! if you were the president there would be dips like you saying the same thing.
