I would say go for it, why not! In ASDA it would attract more attention than a £100,000 Ferrari, but the horse and cart would never cost quite as much as all that Italian style!
You could sell organic horse manure too in ASDA's car park, for £2 a bag, this would buy a few loaves of bread for your hungry family.
On Sundays you could go RAG-BONE collecting for which you do not need a licence at all.
Have you also considered the money you could make by hiring your carriage out for weddings too? £500 a time I would say!!
Barclays may provide a business plan and funding for you!

Not better nowdays because there are no facilities for parking horse and carts.Too much traffic on the roads.
It would be nice to go back to the old days when lots of people did it and there was less worries about what type of car to buy petrol or diesel black or green etc.
We moved too fast from the days of the horse and car to mercs.TVs Satelites etc but we are not happier.
What will it be like in our childrens time

Gypsy`s did it for years, so why not, trouble finding a parking space though, I wonder if you would be able to use the bus lane and then again think of the manure, horses are expensive in as much that you have to have them shod and the vet bills are not cheap, Gordon Brown would soon come up with a tax for them anyway

i replaced into very dissatisfied while this finished incident occurred with 8 Belles. i don't think of many people took it heavily or felt as undesirable because of the fact the passing of Barbaro remains clean in a lot of our minds. this finished factor might have been prevented. I additionally do not think of that those horses could be knowledgeable to race at such an early age. Its almost like we are taking their young ones far flung from them and putting them as much as be injured or have a terrible existence while they become old. each and all of the horses that race while they're very youthful will improve extreme joint and bone issues via the time that they seem to be a minimum of 10. what style of existence is that? you will possibly under no circumstances even think of of having on a horse's back while they're 2-3 years old in the different recreation like leaping and dressage. Why does racing get away with it? I additionally agree that whips should not be used. some jockeys whip those horses so not undemanding that they get welts on them. yet another factor that has arise interior the information approximately that's PETA going after the instructor, proprietor, and jockey of 8 Belles. i think of PETA shouldn't get entangled. Their claims are fake. Why might the owner and coach of 8 Belles placed a jockey on her back interior the main needed horse race that did not know something? Any that each and everyone they wanted to do replaced into to harm her? Come on. those horses stay the existence of Riley while they're on the barn. yet another factor that I heard that made me snigger replaced into that 8 Belles don't have run because of the fact she replaced into the only woman interior the completed race. women people shouldn't race with the "vast boys". She beat out 19 different horses and wager what? all of them have been geldings. So she confirmed all of them. Agree or disagree, that's my opinion of what i think of of the completed challenge that occurred with 8 Belles and remains happening.

Against the law here to drive a horse in the city unless its in a parade or something. Would not be practical today. Too bad.
