ADT won't bother you about it and anything that will deter a burglar helps. Keep in mind that these sign are frequently stolen by others with the same idea as you. Also be aware that having the sign can lull you into a false sense of security. Most burglaries take place in a matter of minutes and unless the burglar spots a siren alarm on the exterior of your house, the sign probably won't stop him. They know that it usually takes a long time for the police to respond to one of these alarms.

I bought my house as a dump fixer-upper, and i found an old ADT sign under the overgrown bushes....it was up in about 2 minutes, and no, i wouldnt pay for adt

I heard on the TV show, It Takes A Thief, that this is a great way to deter potential burglars!
