I been after my 25 year old daughter for 8 years to quit smoking she did 3 weeks ago finally because she is pregnant. last night her fiance was laughing and said well your mom told me to get you to stop smoking so I did. Joke is on him he better get another job to take care of my grand baby she will be off work in about 7 months for a while. i had already asked her did she have to use such drastic measures to quit:)
I am happy about the baby and glad she quit smoking finally. her dad has empyhsema and it hurt him a lot to see her keep smoking she said she smoked because of stress well now she has a lot more but she took to it like a champ and did the best for her baby

yup, pregnancy does could make one quit smoking cold turkey. i'm such a heavy smoker, but when i was pregnant (got two kids), i stopped smoking the minute i found out i was with a baby. i truly wish your daughter would not go back to this filthy habit, i wish i didn't - it's so hard for me to stop now.

Your daughter could start smoking again after she has the baby that is real common..

I applaud anyone who quits smoking. As a nurse, it hurts me to see people gasping for breath, and I see it a lot.
