Bangalore is a major city in India
It is towards the south of India although not on thecoast of the Indian Ocean.

Bangalore is the silicon valley of India, many major international corporations have offices there. Bangalore is also a major military base with major bases near the airport.

North of Bangalore is a famous holy city of Mysore. Mysore has ancient temples throughout the city and is one of the jewels of India.

On the outskirts of Bangalore is a wildlife park called Bannerghatta. Here you can see elephants, Lions, Tigers, Bears, Deer and other wildlife in a natural setting. You take a safari bus. For a little extra money, the driver will sit you up front on the safaris bus and take the pictures for you. They are very good at it. Be sure to give them a tip afterwards as well.

If you are going to Bangalore, be aware that they do not drive like they in Europe and the US. They drive very fast and very close to each other. Motorcycles far outnumber cars. They have some great beer there as well. The major brand of beer is called Kingfisher, and it has an 8% alcohol content. The food is very spicy, but you can get fish and chips.

I was in Bangalore last March and it was one of the most interesting and fascinating place I have ever been to.

If you are going, make sure you see a travel doctor first so that you can take Malaria pills and other medication.

Not sure whereabouts in India it is.

The Bangalore torpedo is named after the place. This is a series of metal pipes which link together to form a length of rod. The first pipe contains explosive, and the length allows for the charge to be placed under obsticles (such as wire) and detonated remotely. Carried by Infantry, The Bangalore Torpedo was used on D Day, by both Empire and American forces.

Bangalore is the capital of the Indian state of Karnataka. Located on the Mysore Plateau in south-western Karnataka, Bengaluru has an estimated metropolitan population of 6.1 million (2006), making it India's third-largest city and fifth-largest metropolitan area. Though historical references to the city predate 900 CE, a written history of continuous settlement exists only from 1537 CE, when Kempe Gowda I, whom many regard as the architect of modern Bengaluru, built a mud fort in the city and established it as a province of the Vijayanagara Empire.

During the British Raj, Bengaluru developed as a center for colonial rule in South India. The establishment of the Bangalore Cantonment brought in large numbers of migrant Tamil, Telugu and North Indian workers for developing and maintaining the infrastructure of the cantonment

After India gained independence in 1947 CE, Bengaluru evolved into a manufacturing hub for public sector heavy industries—particularly aerospace, space and defence. The establishment and success of business software services firms in Bengaluru after the liberalisation of India's economy has led to the growth of India's information technology industry. Bengaluru is referred to as the Silicon Valley of India and accounts for 35 percent of India's software exports.[2] Home to prestigious colleges and research institutions, the city has the second-highest literacy rate among the metropolitan cities in the nation. However, as a large and growing metropolis in the developing world, Bengaluru continues to struggle with problems such as air pollution, traffic congestion, and crime.
